Ring sizing
Find your size
Choose the sizing system you already know, measure your finger with a length of string, or measure a ring you already wear. We will convert it for you.
Wrap a strip of paper or a length of string around the base of your finger tightly, mark where it overlaps, then measure between the two marks.

Lay a ring you already wear on a ruler and measure the inside edge to the inside edge, across the widest point. It must be a ring worn on the same finger.

Borrow a ring they already wear
By far the most reliable method. Take it for a minute, measure the inside diameter with the tool above, and put it back. It must be a ring they wear on the same finger, because the others will be a different size.
Recruit the person closest to them
Mother, sister or closest friend very often already knows, or can find out in a conversation that will not register as unusual. This is more accurate than anything you will manage on your own.
Try rings on together with friends
Go ring shopping together for another friend. This is where they can try on rings themselves and secretly get their ring size too.
What to avoid
Measuring her finger while they are asleep does not work and tends to wake people. Guessing from a photograph, or comparing against your own hand, will not get you close enough to be useful.
Every ring we make includes complimentary resizing for 12 months from collection, up to two sizes larger or two sizes smaller. Beyond that range, or after twelve months, we will quote the work before we begin it.
We do not resize full eternity bands, rings set with stones all the way around, and rings with an engraved inner band cannot be resized.
Fingers change through the day
They are smallest in the morning and in cold weather, and largest at the end of a warm day. Size when your hands are warm and settled, and you will land closer to the size you will wear most of the time.
Check the knuckle
The ring has to pass the knuckle and then sit comfortably at the base. If your knuckle is noticeably wider than the base of your finger, tell us. It changes what we recommend.
Wide bands sit tighter
A wide band covers more of the finger and feels firmer at the same measurement. If you are choosing a wider band (3mm or above), go half to one size up.
Ask us before you guess
It is always best to come in to get your fingers professionally measured to avoid resizing. The more you resize your ring, the structural integrity decreases.
